Here is the FREE pattern
Yarn Needed: Double knit/light worsted yarn. I used Elle Charity Double knit in the colours, Banana, Rust and Camel.
Tools and materials:
- 3.5mm hook
- scissors
- stuffing
- 10/12 mm safety eyes (optional)
- stitch marker
- tapestry needle
Skill: intermediate – need basic skills in working rounds.

Use white cotton thread to embroider the white stitch under each eye. Embroidery eyes are at the end of the pattern

Stuff the body before closing up the bottom of the body completely.Fold the bottom of the body in half and Slip stitch across or SC 18 across the edge to close the body.
MUZZLE:
COLOUR B:
1: CH5, (2 SC in 2nd chain from hook), SC in next 2 stitches, 4 SC in the last stitch. Now working on the opposite side of the chain5, SC in the next 2 stitches, 2SC in the last stitch. [12]
(Work in continuous rounds)

5: SC in each stitch around [30]

End with a slip stitch, and leave a strand of yarn to sew the nose against the face.
EARS: Make two
COLOUR A:
1: MC, 5sc [5]
2: SC in each stitch around [5]
3: INC x5 [10]
4-6: SC in each stitch around [10]
7: (1 SC, INC) x5 [15]
8: SC in each stitch around [15]
9: ( SC, DEC) x5 [10]
10-11: SC in each stitch around [10]
Pinch the opening between your thumb and index finger, and slip a stitch or SC 5 across the opening of the ear, closing it up.
Leave a strand of yarn and sew the ears onto the side of the head.
HORNS: Make two, starting the at top of the Horn
Colour C:
1: MC, SC 6 [6]
2: (INC) x6 [12]
3-4: SC in each stitch around [12]
Change to colour A:
5: SC in each stitch around [12] – start stuffing the horn
6: (DEC, SC) x4 [8]
7-10: SC in each stitch [8] – stuff the remaining horn.
slip stitch and leave a long tail to sew the horn on the head.
MANE/HAIR:
Colour B:
1: chain, 60 [60]
2: 2x DC in the third chain from the hook,(2x DC) in each of the remaining 57 chains. [116]
You will have to untwist the chain as you pin the mane to the top of the head in an S pattern. I used a couple of pins to keep it in place as I sew it onto the head. Sew the mane to the head in a zig-zag motion, like a shoelace.
SPOTS:
SPOT ONE:
Colour B:
1: MC, 6 SC [6]
2: INC x6 [12]
3: (SC, INC) X6 [18]
End slip stitch, and leave a strand of yarn to sew the spot onto the body.
SPOT TWO:
Colour B:
1: MC, 6 SC [6]
2: INC x6 [12]
End slip stitch, and leave a strand of yarn to sew the spot onto the body.
SPOT THREE:
Colour B:
1: MC, 6 SC [6]
End slip stitch, and leave a strand of yarn to sew the spot onto the body.
Attach the spots on the body, You can add these spots anywhere on the body you want to.
TAIL:
Colour A:
1: Chain 13, HDC in the second chain from the hook. HDC in the 11 stitches. [12]
Colour C:
2: Insert your hook at the tip of the tail and chain 2, DC x6, Chain 2, and slip stitch into the tip of the tail. weave in the ends.
EMBROIDERY EYES:
Black cotton thread:
Taking a strand of long cotton thread make two vertical stitches (4 Stitches wide) on either side of the muzzle. Make a small V shape on the counter corner of both vertical stitches to create the lashes.

LEGS: Make four(4) Starting at the hoofs
Colour B:

Change to colour C:
5: (SC, DEC) x6 [12] – stuff the hoof
6: (SC, DEC) x4 [8]

Stuff the hoof as you increase the rounds

Attach the arms under the third DC round under the head.
Attach the legs 2 stitches away from the outer corner of each side of the body.
