Welcome back to part two of our crochet-a-long, where we will be continuing our journey to creating the most huggable and lovable prehistoric creature – the Cuddle Me Dinosaur!
In this post, we will be focusing on making the head and body, as well as inserting the legs, bringing our dino friend one step closer to completion.

Stitch terms:
- SC: Single Crochet
- CH: Chain
- INC: INCrease
- DEC: DECrease
- SLP: Slip stitch
- MC: Magic Circle
- DC: Double crochet
- PUFFst: Puff stitch
Stitches:
DC: Yarn Over, insert your hook, pull up a loop, Yarn Over, and pull through two loops, Yarn Over, Pull through two loops.
PUFF STITCH: Yarn over, insert the hook in the stitch, yarn over, draw the yarn through the stitch, yarn over, and draw the yarn through the 2 loops on the hook – Repeat x2 –

For this part of the Crochet-a-long we will be making the head and body, inserting arms and legs for the dinosaur as we go

6: (4 SC, INC) x6 [36]
7: (5 SC, INC) x6 [42]
8: (6 SC, INC) x6 [48]
9: (7 SC, INC) x6 [54]
10-16: SC in each stitch around [54]
(If using safety eyes: Place eyes between round 10/11, 6 stitches apart) Use white cotton thread to embroider the white stitch under each eye. – The embroidered eyes are an option at the end of the pattern.

BODY:
The body requires no stuffing, working in DC stitches.CH2 at the beginning of each round doesn’t count as a stitch. Slip stitch at the top of each CH2 when starting the next round.

Note: Make sure the arms are on the sides when you fold the bottom of the body in half. If your round doesn’t end at the corner when folding your body in half, slip stitch across till you reach it.
LEGS:
Attach the legs while closing the bottom of the body. Place the leg next to the stitches of the body. Insert your hook through all three stitches, pull up a slip stitch, repeat x5, slip stitch the opening between the legs [3], place the second leg next to the body, and slip stitch 6 times through the body and leg till you have reached the other corner, end with a slip stitch and weave in the ends.
