Size of the crochet Cat: If you use the recommended size hook and yarn weight the pattern provides, the cat will be 12cm/ 4.72 inches.
Skills: This is a beginner-friendly pattern. Basic amigurumi crochet skills are needed. Magic ring, Single crochet, increase and decrease. The head, ears and nose are apart from the body. Legs and body is one piece and the arms are attached as you crochet the body.

What you will need to crochet this Halloween crochet cat
Yarn Needed:
Double knit/light worsted yarn
- Colour A: body 40g
- Colour B: Hat 15g
- Colour C: Ghost 15g
Green for the eye details and pink for the nose, black thread for the facial details.
Hook size: 3.00mm
- scissors
- stuffing
- 10/12 mm safety eyes (optional)
- stitch marker
- tapestry needle
- Wire pet grooming brush for mane
Stitch terms:
- SC: Single Crochet
- INC: INCrease
- CH: Chain
- DEC: DECrease
- SLP: Slip stitch
- MC: Magic Circle
- Puff stitch

1: MC, 6 SC [6]
2: INC x6 [12]
3: (SC, INC) X6 [18]
4: (2 SC, INC) X6 [24]
5: (3 SC, INC) x6 [30]
6: (4 SC, INC) x6 [36]
7: (5 SC, INC) x6 [42]
8: (6 SC, INC) x6 [48]
9- 15: SC in each stitch around [48]
Insert the eyes between rounds 13/14, with 12 stitches visible between the eyes.
16: (6 SC, DEC) x6 [42]
17: (5 SC, DEC) x6 [36]
18: (4 SC, DEC) x6 [30]
19: (3 SC, DEC) x6 [24]
20: (2 SC, DEC) x6 [18] – Stuff the head firmly

Fasten off and weave in the end of the yarn tail
Facial features:
Eyes:
With green cotton/ thread, place a stitch on the outer corner of each eye. Go as close to the eye as possible. Don’t pull too tight otherwise, the thread will slip in under the eye. Use black cotton thread to place a stitch above each eye and make a short eyebrow above each eye, between rounds 9 and 10.
Nose:
Shape the nose in the letter T, and embroider the nose between rounds 14/15, five stitches wide. Make the vertical stitch down the center of the nose two rounds down
Whiskers: (Optional)
Make three short stitches on either side in a small V with a stitch in the middle. Embroider the whiskers between rounds 16/17, 3 stitches wide.

EARS: (Make two)
1: MC, 4 SC [4]
2: INC x4 [8]
3: (SC, INC) x4 [12]
4-6: SC in each stitch around [12] stuff the ear very lightly
Pinch the opening of the ear between your index and thumb and slip stitch or SC 6 sts across, closing up the bottom of the ear.- Repeat with the second ear.
Fasten off and leave a strand of yarn to sew the ears to the head between rounds 3-10.

ARMS: (Make two)
1: MC, 6 SC [6]
2: (SC, INC) x3 [9]
3-9: SC in each stitch around [9] – stuff the arms firmly
Slip stitch, Pinch the arm between your thumb and index finger, slip stitch or SC 4 stitches across to close it at the top. Weave in the yarn tail to attach the arm as you make the body.

1: MC, 5 SC [5]
2: (INC) x5 [10]
3: (INC, SC) x5 [15]

Slip stitch, cut the yarn, and weave in the end.

7: CH3, slip stitch into the left leg, SC 14 around. SC in the front loop of each chain between the legs (3), and continue to SC 15 around the right leg [36]

10-12: SC in each stitch around [48]
13: (6 SC, DEC) x6 [42]
14: SC in each stitch around [42]
15: (5 SC, DEC) x6 [36] – Stuff both legs firmly
16-17: SC in each stitch around [36]

Note: You may need to adjust the arm placement because tension or stitch mishaps may prevent the arms from lining up on the sides. There should be 8 stitches open between the arms.
20: SC 8, Insert arm (4), SC 8, Insert second arm (4) [24]
21: SC in each stitch around [24]
22: (2 SC, DEC) x6 [18]
23: SC in each stitch around [18] – Stuff the remaining body firmly
Fasten off, and leave a longish strand of yarn to sew the head onto the body.
Use a knitting needle to keep the head in place and centered to sew the head on more easily.

TAIL:
1: MC, 7 SC [7]
2-15: SC in each stitch around [7] – Don’t stuff
Slip stitch, Pinch the tail between your thumb and index finger, slip stitch or SC 3 stitches across to close it at the top. Leave a longish tail to attach the tail to the body between rounds 11/13 counting from the top of the body down.

HAT:
1: MC, 5 SC [5]
2-3: SC in each stitch around [5]
4: (INC) x5 [10]
5-7: SC in each stitch around [10]

Slip stitch and leave a longish tail to sew the hat onto the head of the cat.

Insert the eyes between rounds 5/6, with 4 stitches visible between the eyes.
7: puff, sc8, puff, sc 8 [18]
8: ( SC, DEC) x 6 [12]
9-12: SC in each stitch around [12] – Stuff ghost firmly
13: (DEC) x 6 [6]
Slip stitch, cut yarn, and close up the bottom of the ghost. Leave a long strand of yarn to attach the ghost on the inside of the cat’s arm.
Use a little bit of the black embroidery floss to make a small V between rounds 7/8 to make the mouth.
