Flora the Fairy free CAL – Part four

Welcome back to the final part of Flora the Fairy. I’m so excited to see the results, if you have come this far please share your fairy in my group! Click HERE.

All that is left from this fairy is to make is the legs and body. 

In PART ONE we made the head and hair, in PART TWO we made the ears and arms, PART THREE the wings and petals for the dress. 

Flora the fairy is a intermediate/ easy patterns that mostly consist out of Single crochet stitches.

Colour E : (shoe colour)

1: MC, 6 SC [6]

2: INC x6 [12]

3-7: SC in each stitch around [12] – Stuff the shoe

Change to colour A: (Skintone)

8: BLO: (2 SC, DEC) x3 (9)

9-19: SC in each stitch around [9]  – Stuff the leg as you increase

Change to the colour D: (Dress colour)

20-21: SC in each stitch around [9] – Continue to stuff the leg

FO, and weave in the end.

Change to colour A: (Skintone)

Take your first leg to connect it to the second leg

22: CH3, SC 9 around –Leg one– SC in the front loop of each chain between the legs (3), and continue to SC 9 around -Leg two-, SC in the front 3 stitches of the chain (Facing you) [24]

23: SC in each stitch around [24]

24: (3 SC, INC) x6 [30]

25: SC in each stitch around [30]

26: (4 SC, INC) x6 [36]

27: SC in each stitch around [36]

28: Attach petals to the dress, crochet them in as you go each stitch around [36]

29: (4 SC, DEC) x6 [30]

30-31: SC in each stitch around [30] 

32: (3 SC, DEC) x6 [24] – Start to stuff the body at this point

33-36: SC in each stitch around [24] 

37: (2 SC, DEC) x6 [18]

38-40: SC in each stitch around [18] 

Change to colour A: (Skintone)

41: SC 1, insert arm (SC 4), SC 6, insert second arm (SC4), SC 3 [18]

42: (SC, DEC) x6 [12] stuff the body fully

43-45: SC in each stitch around [12] 

Attach the wings:

Sew the wing onto the back of the fairy. Using your tapestry needle, thread the yarn tail to the center of the wing and attach the wing to the back. Use the whipstitch method to attach the wings.

Tip to keep the head from wobbling: 

Tie a couple of cotton earbuds or plastic straws together and place it inside of the doll between the neck and head to keep the head from being floppy.
