How to crochet a carrot- Free Pattern

Carrot, Anyone? A Fun Easter Crochet Project!

This week, I whipped up a brand-new Easter crochet pattern, Easter BunBun, using the fresh and fabulous Kismet Viva Solid range!  You can watch my YouTube video HERE. But something was missing… My little bunny was looking kinda hungry! And then it hit me—what’s a bunny without a carrot?  Obviously, this little guy needed a snack!

So, I grabbed my favorite Kismet Velvet Plush yarn in orange, lime, and olive green and jumped right into crocheting. And let me tell you—it turned out SO cute! My little bunny is officially happy (and well-fed), and I think this tiny carrot makes the perfect finishing touch.

What You’ll Need to Make This Adorable Carrot

For this project, I used Kismet Velvet Plush yarn, and let me tell you—it is SO soft and works up beautifully! Here are the exact colors I used:

  • Colour 35 – Orange (for the carrot body)

  • Colour 42 – Lime green (for the leafy top)

  • Colour 32 – Dark green (for some contrast)

Hook size: 3.5mm
Extras: Stuffing, scissors, and a darling little needle to weave in those ends.

A Fun Twist: Make It Your Own!

Want to switch things up? You can easily turn this carrot into a keychain or a mobile charm! All you need to do is change your yarn and hook size. The smaller the hook, the tinier the carrot—so you can make a whole bunch of baby carrots if you want! 🥕🥕🥕
