Welcome back to the crochet a long of Molly Doll! In this fourth and final part of our Molly Doll free CAL, we’ll be tying up all the loose ends and completing our adorable little crochet doll. In this blog post, we’ll be creating the dress and bows for Molly, bringing her to life and giving her the finishing touches.
If you’ve been following along with our series, you’ve already created the body, arms, and legs for Molly, and now it’s time to give her the perfect outfit. Part four:
BOWS: (Make two)
-Working in rows-
Colour F:
1: CH 10, HDC in 3rd chain from the hook, HDC in the remaining chains, TYW [8]
2: CH2, HDC in next 7 stitches, TYW [8]
3-7: Repeat round 2 [8]
8: Fold the bow in half and slip the stitch across, connecting the two sides. Fold the bow so that the stitch line is at the back of the bow.
Slip stitch and leave a long strand of yarn to close up the edges of the bow and create the centerpiece.
Whipstitch on both sides of the bow to close up the edges. Pull the strand of yarn out from the center of the bow and wrap it four times around the center. Give it a knot and attach the bow to the bottom of the bun. Repeat the same method with the second bow.

Colour F:
1: CH21, SC in 2nd chain from hook, SC in remaining chains [20]
Change to colour D:
2: CH1, SC in each of the stitches, TYW [20]
3-5: CH1, SC in each stitch, TYW [20]
6: CH1, DEC, SC 16, DEC, TYW [18]
7: CH1, DEC, SC 14, DEC, TYW [16]
8: CH1, DEC, SC 12, DEC, TYW [14]
9: CH1, SC 6, DEC, SC 6, TYW [13]
10: CH1, SC 5, DEC, SC 6, TYW [12]
STRAPS:
11: CH10, SC in the 2nd chain from the hook, slip stitch in the same stitch, end off and weave in end. [9]
12: Insert your hook on the opposite corner of the front panel, and repeat round 11. [9]
BACK PANEL LEFT:
Colour F:
1: CH11, SC in 2nd chain from hook, SC in remaining chains [10]
Change to colour D:
2: CH1, SC in each of the stitches, TYW [10]
3-5: CH1, SC in each stitch, TYW [10]
6: CH1, DEC, SC 8, TYW [9]
7: CH1, SC 7, DEC, TYW [8]
8: CH1, DEC, SC 6, TYW [7]

Leave a strand of yarn to sew the strap of the dress to the back panel
BACK PANEL RIGHT:
Colour F:
1: CH11, SC in 2nd chain from hook, SC in remaining chains [10]
Change to colour D:
2: CH1, SC in each of the stitches, TYW [10]
3-5: CH1, SC in each stitch, TYW [10]
6: CH1,SC 8, DEC, TYW [9]
7: CH1, DEC,SC 7, TYW [8]
8: CH1, SC 6, DEC TYW [7]
9: CH1, DEC, SC 5 , TYW [6]
10: CH1, SC 6, TYW [6]
Leave a strand of yarn to sew the strap of the dress to the back panel
Connecting the panels:
Slip stitch the right and left side panels to the front panel. The slip stitch will be between rows 1-5 on either side of the panels (look at the white stitches on the graph on the next page.
SKIRT:
Change to colour D:
Connect the two back panels at the bottom with a slipstitch, CH1
1: SC in each stitch around the bottom of the panels [40]
2: CH2.(DC, INC) repeat the sequence till you have reached the end of your round [60]
3-6: Slip stitch at the top of CH2, CH2, DC in each stitch around [60]
flip the dress inside out if you haven’t at the point.
Slip stitch and leave a longish strand of yarn, Put the dress on your doll before doing the next step, weave the strand of yarn back up the skirt and use the remaining strand of yarn to whip stitch the two back panels together.
